[Hillel-at-Loyola] Help Tutor Children

WOULD YOU LIKE TO VOLUNTEER BY TUTORING CHILDREN?

For the past semester Loyola students have volunteered for the Jewish
Children's Bureau helping elementary school students with their reading
and schoolwork.  These are children who live in group homes in the
Rogers Park area.

The Jewish Children's Bureau center is at Pratt and Kedzie in Rogers Park.
The tutoring time is TUESDAY EVENING between 5:30 PM and 7:45 PM.  We have
a Hillel student who will drive volunteers leaving Loyola at 5 PM and
returning by 8:00 PM.

We have received a request for more tutors.  If you have Tuesday evening
free and would like to volunteer, please e-mail Patti Ray at pray@luc.edu.
The students who volunteered this past semester loved interacting with the
children and would be glad to speak with anyone interested in doing this.

TO THE HILLEL BOARD about MLK Day

Hi,

As the listserve e-mail indicated, tomorrow is the university's formal
commemoration for Martin Luther King.  It is at 4:45 PM in the Mullady
Theater, which is the theater that you enter right in the Lobby of
Centennial Forum.  It is the theater where the University plays are
performed.

It would be very nice to have Hillel Board representation at the
Commemoration.  If any of you can go, please try to be there.  I will be
there as well.
