A traditional, kosher Seder, conducted by Hillel at Loyola students, with all
the fun and rituals associated with the Passover meal.

    MODERN HEBREW CLASS RETURNS!!


    Please be aware as you prepare to register for the Fall that in addition to the
    Judaism class offered through the Department of Theology - in response to a
    petition initiated by Hillel - Modern Hebrew is returning as a
    credit course in the Fall through the Department of Modern Languages and
    Literature.

    In order to make sure we maintain a Modern Hebrew classes, there needs to be
    enough student registration.  So, please consider this wonderful opportunity to
    learn Hebrew for credit!

    Latin Jewish Author/Latin Kosher Lunch!

    "BEING A JEWISH ARGENTINIAN WOMAN WRITER  -
    A CONVERSATION WITH ANA MARIA SHUA"


    The Department of Modern Languages has invited Agentinian writer, Ana Maria
    Shua, to give a lecture on Tuesday at 5:30 PM in Hussey Lounge, Damen Hall -
    10th Floor on Censorship in Argentina.

    Ana Maria is Jewish and besides her political writing, she also writes stories
    with Jewish themes.  Hillel is hosting her for a special lunch-time
    conversation at Hillel about being Jewish in Argentina today, if the censorship
    issue has any "Jewish dimensions," about her Jewish writing and being an
    Argentinian Jewish woman.

    As another Hillel first - we will be having a Latin kosher lunch to celebrate
    her visit!
