Shalom,

As we enter this Shabbat, Israel's Prime Minister is gravely ill in
Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem.  We are forwarding to our listserve this
message from Avrum Infeld, Hillel's International Director.

He is currently in Israel with the Birthright Israel trips, and many of
the Loyola students who are doing Birthright trips over winter break are
either in Israel now or are arriving this week during this very difficult
time for the Jewish people.

"Let us join with our brothers and sisters in Israel, and with people
of good faith around the world, in praying for the recovery of Israeli
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. May the strength and courage that have
been his mainstays throughout his life once again sustain him in this
hour of need."
