Sheffield Ave. Rm. 340 FREE John Macsai is a Hungarian survivor, who survived Nazi labor camps in Hungary (Kecskemet, Szekesfehervar), and Germany (Butsching, Mauthausen, Gunskirchen). After liberation John came to the United States from Hungary on a Hillel scholarship to complete his architectural education. He practiced architecture in Chicago for 50 years and taught design at the School of Architecture, UIC, for twenty-six. He has been a field architect at an archeological site in Israel. He paints (Gallery 1756) and writes a monthly column on architecture and urban design in the Evanston Round Table. | What is the future of the Palestinians? Benny Morris, the son of Jewish immigrants from England was born in Kibbutz Ein HaHoresh. He received his doctorate from the University of Cambridge and for a number of years was the diplomatic correspondent of the Jerusalem Post. Morris is currently a professor of history at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Be'er Sheva. 4-6p.m . SAC Room 154: 2320 N.
