Sweeten your New Year...

KFAR Jewish Arts Center: Stimulating, promoting and producing the next generation of Jewish expression

September 12, 2007

This year, Yom Kippur falls on Shabbat, and so the Shofar will only be sounded at the close of services after sundown. Its absence that day is very noticeable.  But what if throughout the year, Jewish music as a whole were similarly silent, prohibited, or limited to its role in fundraising events?

We're live in a place and time when the inverse is true- Jewish expression flourishes and even enriches the surrounding culture. It is a renaissance not seen since medieval Spain, too precious to let fall silent for any reason. KFAR depends heavily on your support to bring this renaissance to Chicago.

As the New Year approaches, may we all experience the collective joy and celebrate our common heritage through the lively arts.

This Rosh Hashanah, sweeten your year. Support Jewish artistry and creativity in Chicago with a donation to KFAR, and help us nourish our community with a calendar filled with programs, concerts and initiatives.

Your Rosh Hashanah gift to KFAR  helps us bring our signature brand of contemporary Jewish cultural and vibrancy to Chicago that's as sweet as, well, honey.  Please  make a New Year's tax-deductible contribution to KFAR Jewish Arts Center , and may this year be one of health and joy for you, our community, all the Jewish people and may the whole world be blessed with peace.

L'Shanah Tovah!
